I agree.

I thought about including that as a possible poll answer but figured that would win by such a wide margin that it would be no contest.

The fourth one doesn't count because that was just a bad acid trip she had in cryostasis.

Sarah Connor saved the world using only her vagina and a machine press.

Ripley had nukes and spaceships and didn't save jack shit!

Um I'm sorry, but the machine press did all the work in the first one and the T100 did all the work in the second, including a heroic act of self sacrifice. All Sarah Connor did was spread her legs and let Reese/Hicks put a load in her. And besides, if it weren't for Ripley saving Reese/Hicks from the fucking aliens, he never would have been able to travel back in time to the 80's to warn Sarah Connor about her hair.

Holy shit did I just put that much thought into who would win in a fight between two fictional movie characters?

*hangs self*

Yes, but it was a fight between two inarguably hott movie characters.

You also get a bonus for the Reese/Hicks crossover angle. ;D

Well, y'see...it's like this.

Anytime these "who would win in a fight between ______ and ______?" threads come up, my answer's always the same.

Neither. Just as in every other superhero crossover ever made, they'd beat the shit out of each other for a while, battle to a draw, then realize they're both on the same side and team up against the common enemy. (It always plays out that way, without fail.)

wait, i just realized that this is very difficult to answer.

ripley in IV vs. sarah in II? ripley
ripley in I vs. sarah in I? well, ok, ripley.

sarah in II vs. ripley in 1-3? Sarah.

Ummm... Is there a third option, because I think that fight would end in a draw.

It occurred to me that we've had an Alien vs. Predator movie. We need a Terminator vs. Aliens movie.

Why leak out content-free film in dribs and drabs? Let's just have a throw down to end all.

(Terminator vs Aliens vs Robocop) vs (Harry Potter vs LOTR vs Chronicles of Narnia) vs (Freddy vs Jason vs Mike Meyers vs Leatherface vs Pinhead) vs (Street Fighter vs ALL Movie Marvel vs ALL Movie DC vs Mortal Kombat) vs (Luke vs Vader vs Jinn vs Kenobi vs Yoda vs Palpatine vs Boba Fett)

Now that's a movie.

A. The label "content-free" is inherently oxymoronic when applied to anything that is not unintentionally blank.

B. The film you just suggested would be AWESOME!

Tell you what. Next time we're in the same place at the same time, let's just divvy up some poker chips. They'll be our "pedantic response" credits, and we can mail them to each other in payment, and we'll know what the balance is. :)

As for the second part, don't take my future student film project away from me. I'm going to make it as a short, which will give it the highest deaths-per-second ratio of any film in history.

As long as they are in skimpy outfits, and jello is involved, the point is moot.

That being said....Ripley.

Ellen lasted 4 movies, Sarah only 2.

Then again, Sarah was smart enough to not even be in the third (and presumably fourth) Terminator flick.
