It's interesting to observe the trends of what sort of songs are on the chart for what length off time according to how Billboard has changed its policies on how it determines the Hot 100 over the years, with a major change coming in the early 90s, with the chart now skewing very heavily towards a small number of R&B/Hip-Hop singles....

I watched it slowly starting to go to shit, (imo), and found the glorious world of indie label. Although Outkast, (as well as some other bands) brought me back to understand that there was some redeeming music still to be found there.
There is such an amazing thing happening right now with fusion of all sorts. I want to see this move upon the billboards like a wildfire. Like a giant shitty-music eating Wildfire that cleanses it of all the suck.
Basically I am proposing Genrecide.
