I was a bit confused about the question, if it was: "What pieces of music have you ever listened to while crying?" or "What pieces of music make you cry whenever you listen to them?" or somewhere inbetween. I assumed it was somewhere in between.
There is so much music that makes me cry when I really pay attention to it, I couldn't really pick one thing for the little entry box. Then again, a friend once categorized my rather genre-inattentive taste in music as "sad girl in snow."
Oh yes. Looking at others' answers, I will say that "The Freshman" gets me, too. *wry smile* And, appropriately enough, combines both of my answers for why (the aftermath of death and the emotional scars of growing up).

Stand By Me
Reminds me of my best friend since youth and our different lives.
Tom Waits - Hold On
To be strong when it's the hardest.
Peter Gabriel - Of These, Hope.
It's astoundingly perfect.
