greetings from Berlin

tyrsalvia and I made it into Berlin at 8:10 am local time this morning.

Our sublet has a beautiful view and is within an easy walk of bus and rail transit. Unfortunately, we forgot to pack the US-to-European power adapter, so we won't be able to get online from there until we can buy a replacement tomorrow (most stores are still closed for the Christmas holiday here); we're posting from a terminal at the Hauptbhanhoff (Berlin's main rail station).

I've already gotten some fantastic pictures of the city; Berlin is an urban-decay lover's wet dream, with many radical juxtapositions of the trashed Soviet-era with shiny glass and steel. I'll start getting them up soon.
